The town is well connected by road, with nearby rail services available from Telford Central. Parking is available throughout the town, making it easy to explore the Gorge on foot.

Travelling by car

Ironbridge is just a short drive from Telford and is easily accessible via the M54, which connects to the M6 and the wider motorway network. Follow signs for Ironbridge Gorge once you leave the motorway. There are several public car parks in and around the town, making it easy to explore on foot.

Travelling by bus or coach

Ironbridge is served by local bus services from Telford, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury and surrounding areas, making it an easy destination to visit without a car. National coach services operate to Telford, where you can connect to local buses or taxis for the short journey to Ironbridge.

Travelling by rail

The nearest railway station is Telford Central, with regular services from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury and other major destinations. From the station, Ironbridge is around a 15-minute taxi journey, or you can catch a local bus directly to the town.
