Step away from the everyday and unwind in our characterful Victorian former schoolhouse, set in the heart of the Shropshire Hills, surrounded by rolling countryside and far-reaching views. The School House offers comfort and a warm hospitality from which you can explore this beautiful corner of England.

Our bed and breakfast offers three large en-suite rooms, each comfortably furnished with a generous sofa, silent fridge, television and a selection of quality teas and coffees. Mornings begin with a freshly prepared breakfast, featuring plenty of homemade and local produce, served in our spacious breakfast room.

The School House is a dog-friendly B&B, with a convenient ground-floor room available for guests travelling with their dog. We also offer an electric vehicle charging point for guest use.

With a wealth of local knowledge and information, we’re always happy to help guests make the most of their time in Shropshire. Scenic walks begin right from the doorstep, and quiet country lanes provide excellent opportunities for cycling.

Just a short drive away, Ludlow is a friendly historic market town, famed for its castle, timber-framed buildings and vibrant food scene. Its independent shops, cafés and award-winning restaurants make it a must-go-to for lovers of local food and drink.
