Set in an 18th-century farmhouse with views across the Shropshire countryside, Old Downton Lodge is just 15 minutes’ drive from Ludlow’s historic town centre and castle. With a beautiful flower-filled courtyard, this guest accommodation offers rooms with wooden beams and flagstone floors.
A private modern bathroom with a selection of toiletries is included in each individually designed bedroom, which also has a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and a hairdryer. Some rooms at Old Downton have a four-poster bed. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas and all rooms.
Full English breakfasts and evening meals are served in the grand and elegantly furnished dining room, which features bare stone walls and a high ceiling. Open to both residents and locals, the restaurant offers a Small A La Carte Menu as well as a Tasting Menu.
Dinner is Served Monday to Sunday between 6pm and 8:30pm

Afternoon Tea is Served Monday to Sunday between 3pm and 4:30pm.
