The space
As soon as you enter the Drift House you will notice the attention to detail on this lovingly restored Barn. Once used for cows to drift in and out of, it is now a stunning home with all of the modern conveniences but highlighting the features such as the original beams as well as being eco friendly!
This is the perfect place for families to get together and take in the views, each having their own bathroom, the height of luxury
🛏 Sleeping Arrangements:
– Bedroom 1: has a zip link bed either two singles or a superking. There is a baby changing unit in the bedroom. The bed will be made up as a superking by default, if you would like two single beds, please let us know at least 48 hours ahead of your bookings so that we can make that happen for you.
There is an ensuite with a shower, sink, and WC.
– Bedroom 2: has a double bed. The ensuite has a shower, sink, and WC.
– Bedroom 3: has two single beds, next door is the bathroom with a large shower, WC
and sink.
Upstairs bedrooms:
– Bedroom 4: has a small set of stairs in the bedroom. There is a double bed and a small ensuite with shower, wc, and sink.
– Bedroom 5: has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with a bath, separate shower, wc, and sink. There is also a daybed in this room suitable for 2 small children, we have 2 high chairs available for seating around the dining table – please advise on booking if this is required so we can provide linen
🏡 Features & Amenities:
– There is a large vaulted entertaining kitchen with a large dining table, where 10 people can comfortably enjoy socialising around.
– The kitchen itself is a joy to cook in and features many, if not, all of the amenities you will need during your stay. This includes large appliances such as a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and a Belfast sink. For moments less formal, guests can relax at the breakfast bar with high stools. For your convenience there is a washing machine should you need to do any washing during your stay.
– Throughout the property, you can benefit from underfloor heating, which is controlled by a thermostat in each room for your comfort. This is powered by an eco-friendly air source heat pump.
– The lounge can comfortably seat 10 people and was designed to be a relaxing entertaining space. Guests will find a 55” tv, a PS4, and a selection of games to enjoy.
– For those looking for a moment of calm, you can indulge yourself in the snug, with fabulous views overlooking the countryside, where you can open up the patio doors, it’s a peaceful place to be.
🌌 Outdoor Highlights:
– Garden, Patio & Courtyard: We are fortunate to have several places outdoors where you’re able to unwind, relax, or simply spend time with one another.
– Fishing Pond: The Mill pond is 60m across and is available for licensed fishing enthusiasts, and it is possible to walk around the pond. It can be a great spot to see local wildlife and birds too!
– Stargazing: Being out in the countryside means we have minimal light pollution, and on clear nights, The Drift House can provide the perfect location to take a moment to stargaze.
🚗 Convenience & Access:
– There is parking for 5 cars in the undercover parking area close to the barn.
🐕 Dogs
– A maximum of two dogs are welcome and we kindly ask that they are kept downstairs and not in carpeted rooms. £20 per dog, per stay.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole barn.
There is a contained grass area at the back, care should be taken that dogs do not enter the fields, especially when there are sheep in them.
