History
Once the residence of Lord Harlech, British Ambassador to the U.S. in the 1960s, Woodhill Park served as a nexus for his close ties with the Kennedy family. Following President Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, Lord Harlech hosted both Jackie and Bobby Kennedy at the estate. Its history is further coloured by Lord Harlech’s later proposal to Jackie Kennedy.
